Case Management Services

Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania (VROCP) offers a variety of services to help visually impaired consumers remain independent and improve the quality of their lives.  Our Case Management Department provides information and community referral services.  If seeking a Case Manager, an individual assessment will be done to determine if the consumer seeking services meets the following 3 criteria:

1.   An eye report from an eye doctor verifying low vision status

2.   Income guidelines

3.   The need for services is explored

The following services may be provided in Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Perry counties.

  • In-home services-such as grocery shopping, mail reading, bill paying and assistance with completing applications.
  • Transportation and escort services to and from doctor visits and other necessary appointments.
  • Life skills education through attendance at support group meetings and quality of life programs.
  • Information and referral services.
  • Recreational services.

Vision Resources Monthly Life Skills Support Group Meetings

  • Harrisburg Support Group

Meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania, 1130 S. 19th Street, Harrisburg.  If you plan to attend a meeting, please call Marie Sersch at 717-238-2531 by 2:00 pm on the Friday before a scheduled meeting. Some of our meetings require the purchase of supplies and printing of materials. If she is unavailable leave a message with the receptionist.

Harrisburg Support Group Schedule:

March 7, 2018 Londa Peterson, Aimee Harwood and Mike Barry will present Technology, Devices and Services. Guests are asked to share what devices you use.

April 4, 2018  Kathy Rodgers, Caseworker will provide tips for successful aging.

May 2, 2018  Norm Lacasse  of Capital Area Greenbelt will join us to dedicate a bench and for a historical talk. This meeting is offsite and a trip to 3B will follow

June 6, 2018 Jean McClintick, RN Hospice of Central PA will be here to tell us about accessing healthcare and communication with doctors.


  • Carlisle Support Group

Meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 2:00 p.m. at One West Penn Apartments, 1 West Penn Street, Carlisle.

  • Franklin County Support Group

Meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 11:30 a.m. at the Chambersburg Senior Center.
